A/R Connection exhibited at the 14th Annual 2008 New Jersey Accounting Show & Conference |
|
New York - A/R Connection exhibited at the 14th Annual 2008 New Jersey Accounting Show & Conference on May 21-22, 2008, at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ. The show was one of the strongest CPA shows in the Northeast region this year in terms of exhibitors and booth traffic. The CPE sessions were focused on technology, accounting, and business and finance.
The company’s new booth, graphics and enlarged floor space created substantial presences at the show, attracting many of the attendees.. Most of the people who stopped had never heard of an automatic dunning system before that automatically calls, e-mails, faxes, or writes late payers. The common reaction was “Why hasn’t some one thought of that before”.
Besides attendees stopping by, other Ecoplayers were interested in our dunning system and they included several members of the Intuit staff, CPA Technology Advisor, and Fishbowl Inventory.
This 14th annual was sponsored by the New Jersey Society of CPAs and the NJ CPA Education Foundation and was the largest meeting of CPAs in the State of New Jersey this year.

Call Motions launches next generation web-based Account Receivable notification application |
|
NEW YORK - Call Motions, a leader in multi-modality messaging, today announced the launch of new software designed to help small and medium sized companies facilitate their bill collections.
A/R Connection will enable companies to reach customers with outstanding balances, by automatically contacting them via e-mail, fax, telephone or letter on preset dates (e.g. 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days past due) with a reminder for payment. Additionally, the A/R Connection web-based software affords users the opportunity to choose from template messages or to customize individual messages, as well as decide when, and how often, to contact customers.
Small and medium sized businesses are often plagued by outstanding balances and the inability to reach customers in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Call Motions President, Roger Gins, states that, “A/R Connection software was developed with the intention of offering small and medium sized businesses a better way to communicate with customers with outstanding bill balances.”
Gins added, “By automating the collection process and following ‘best practices’ of alternating the medium of the messages, A/R Connection enables users to reach customers in a timely, cost-effective, and systematic fashion. Ultimately, it helps companies to collect more of their account receivables quicker, resulting in an increased working capital, a reduced need for receivable financing, and a reduced payroll. The features of our new software are unique and vital, because the longer an account remains unpaid, the lower the probability of collection.” More information about A/R Connection can be found on the company’s website at www.ARConnection.com. |

The Thing Most Practicing Accountants Hate SECOND Most |
|
(From CTA Technology Adviser)
In my 32+ years of experience with accountants practicing in small firms I have grown to understand that the thing they universally hate SECOND most is contacting clients about a past due balance. (The number ONE thing is obviously "not getting paid"!)
That same reluctance regarding accounts receivable management often follows to these firm's small business clients. Last week while speaking at the New Jersey Society of CPA's Technology & Business Show I noticed a new exhibitor and stopped by for an introductory visit. I met Roger Gins, CEO of Call Motions, LLC and he demonstrated his company's web-enabled, automated accounts receivable collection management system.
AR-Connection.com provides a secure portal via which a business can upload their A/R aging report (generated from most popular accounting packages including QuickBooks, PeachTree, and Microsoft Office Accounting) and then, following rules and processes established by the individual businesses, have collection efforts undertaken automatically. The rules and processes can include emails, postcards, letters, and telephone calls --- and all are highly customizable. The genius in the process is that, while every step is automated, each step [can be] individually approved immediately prior to its implementation. This avoids the potential embarrassment of escalating efforts after a payment has been received. And the telephone call component has some clever twists, too. First, the system spoofs the called ID into displaying the businesses number rather than that of AR-Connection. And the message delivered allows the recipient to press a button and be connected directly to the business for more in-depth conversation. I like the design as it's completely transparent and all communications appear to come directly from the business owners rather than a service or agency.
If you and/or your clients hate asking to get paid, but hate not getting paid even more, then perhaps you might want to take a peek at AR-Connection.
